Performance Rowing (8 - 10+ times per week)

As an extension to our club competitive programs, FRC is also able to offer access to high performance training through our own Performance coaches. Training is targeted at athletes wishing to compete at the highest levels regionally, provincially and nationally; such as Canada Games, Royal Canadian Henley, National Championships and National Teams. Any competitive athlete is eligible to apply to join the Performance program, although participation is by invitation only. (Athletic Director)

Athletes who are invited into this program are expected to be training all year round (including winter program), attend March Break (on water) camp, and submit erg scores as per the RCA RADAR requirements. Athletes should be aspiring to go above and beyond the average club competitive athlete.

Typical racing season may include Eastern Rowing Championships, NS Sprints, Royal Canadian Henley, NW Arm & Cogswell, Small Boats Head, Head of 4 Bridges, Atlantic Championships. In addition, attendance at Junior, U23 or senior trials may be needed plus the option of competing at the National Rowing Championships/Canada Cup.
