Many accidents occur as the result of uninformed or ill-considered decisions being made before leaving the boathouse. Weather and water conditions, time of day, the equipment and appropriate supervision, are all critical components that must be assessed in order to ensure that it is a safe rowing situation.

Safety starts before you go on the water . . . and safety is everyone’s business.

The FRC is currently revising and reviewing updates to our club safety policies and procedures and will make these documents available on this site shortly.
