Bliss receives national recognition

LONDON, ONT. – Adam Bliss of the Fredericton Rowing Club was awarded the 2013 Kiran van Rijn “Male Sculler of the Year” Award by Rowing Canada at a banquet held recently in London, Ontario. The award is given to the top non-national team athlete.

Bliss dominated competition over the past season under FRC coach Alan Oldham winning several local and regional competitions as well as the prestigious Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catharines, the Head of Charles in Boston and took second at the nationals in Welland, Ontario in November.

Bliss is a carded athlete that competed this season in the senior lightweight men’s category. He will be training out of London at the London Training Centre under national coach Al Morrow.
