FRC hands out hardware

The Fredericton Rowing Club handed out their year-end awards on Sunday night at their annual AGM/potluck/Christmas party held at the O’Dell Park Lodge in Fredericton.

This season the club captured medals at several regattas and competed locally, regionally and on the national stage. The club has worked hard to develop an indoor-training program that now covers area middle schools, high schools and universities. A partnership with the Fredericton Multicultural Association serves as the club’s off season base for winter training.

Club president Dion Durnford thanked all the coaches, volunteers and board members for all their hard work on another successful year at the club. Durnford will be handing over the reigns as president to Geoff Halloway who has been club coach for the past two seasons.
